This looks like an awesome stretch of railroad. Remind me of one of the lines I work on in New Jersey.

You're right, this line is awesome... but in the other sense of this word. You can't see that on photo, but rails are in terrible conditions (in some places, mostly on turns, head of the rail have triangular cross-section ;) ) and express trains (sic!) go at 20 kmph or slower.

Interesting. With the snow cover, the rail looks like its good for pretty high speeds. Any photos of this location in the warmer months?

Unfortunatelly, I've been there only once, but I may promise You that I'll visit this line once again in this year, but now we have to wait to the end of winter :) (In Poland it will be maybe in March or April)
